Best mp3 players for audio book use
There are 3 key features in an MP3 player that you are looking for:
- Critical - Cannot be without: "Mid-track resume" means that when you switch off your MP3 player, it will resume from the exact point in the track when you switch it on again.
- Pretty useful: "A-B Repeat" (meaning that you specify the start "A" point in a track and then define the "B" point) - the MP3 player then plays this part of the track over and over again.
- Live rewind within a track, just like you would rewind a cassette tape. Essential for education/language audio books - You just hold down the rewind button and the player will rewind back through the file depending on how long you hold the button. This feature is available on most MP3 players over £100, but definately with the players below.
Advanced mp3 players who sell these do loads of other players from very cheap budget to hundreds plus all the iPods.
I suggest the 2 below as being ideal for audio book use (buy the one you like the look or sound of best :-)
Or just have a good browse about for others but ask their support people for advice if you're unsure on features (nobody seems to mention the live rewind thing, I had to chase that feature info up as it's just not a big thing with music mp3 it seems)
