News from Advanced MP3 Players
Did you know that you can now get an mp3 player for your audiobooks not only with radio but with digital DAB radio?
DAB radio - what's that? Dital radio, like digital TV, in short, cyrstal clear reception and sound, totally brilliant.
There has been an explosion in new DAB products recently, with some older products receiving an update and the launch of what we feel to be the first 'killer' DAB crossover product.
Starting with that product - the iAudio D2 DAB. The D2 is an already established player with a good following - its specs speak for themselves: Touch Screen control, 52 hour battery life, 16.7 million colour video display, support for SD memory cards up to 32GB, very clear FM radio, unrivalled sound quality and compatibility with a huge variety of files. To this established segment leader, comes class leading DAB Digital Radio functionality.
There has not been a major market manufacturer (outwith the UK market) who has embraced DAB, but we believe that the D2 is the first serious product aimed at doing everything well. And it really does achieve that aim - by far the best reception we've found with a portable DAB radio and it maintains the incredible features that make the D2 such a class-leading product too.
If you don't want the raft of features that the D2 offers, but still want a good quality portable DAB radio with some MP3 functionality, then perhaps the oono 2plus2 is a better choice. It's more recognisably a portable radio (with built-in speakers) with DAB functionality and 2GB of internal storage for digital music. What's more, it also has an SD card slot to add memory and even comes with an additional 2GB card in the box (hence the name, 2plus2!)
Another portable option is the Revo Pico. It's a portable DAB Radio that features an M-Port connection to connect any MP3 player (including iPod) It includes multiple power options, including battery, mains and a car adapter. It's got a built-in speaker, through which you can play the DAB Radio or MP3 player and it also features an FM radio, for areas without DAB reception - you'll never be without music!
